Don't Forget The Gates

Beyond all else, a Rattlesnake Fence installation needs to do one thing: keep rattlesnakes out! Anything less than that is unacceptable and a waste of money. For that reason, we know that any snake fencing job needs to have all areas secured, not just part of it … a partial snake fence project is just a snake trap.

In Arizona, snake fence installations need to be completed entirely … or you’ve just paid for a very expensive snake trap.

Unfortunately, snake proofing a gate is one of the more complicated aspects of rattlesnake prevention. Without a lot of experience and knowledge of snake behavior, it’s unlikely that the general handyman or pest control guy is going to have a chance to do it effectively. Any gap larger than 1/4” inch can let rattlesnakes in, and that can be pretty difficult depending on the gate.
